Welcome to Our Governors’ Section

The Governing Body of St Robert Southwell Catholic Primary is responsible for setting the ethos and strategic direction of the school, ensuring that children receive a high-quality education within a nurturing and dynamic learning environment.

As a Catholic Governing Body, it upholds the school’s mission to place God at the heart of its work. It ensures that all pupils and staff members have the opportunity to achieve their full potential, regardless of their background, identity, abilities, or circumstances.

The Governing Body:

Determines the strategic direction of the school.

Supports and challenges the school through monitoring, reviewing, and evaluating.

Ensures financial accountability.

The LGC ‘Register of Interest’ for 2024/25 (nil made) can also be accessed by emailing the clerk, as can relevant business and pecuniary interests including governance roles in other educational institutions for both Governors and Trustees of Bosco CET, including Executive Pay for the Trust, and pay gap reporting.

 

Governor Pen Portraits

Eva Harrison

My name is Eva Harrison, I have been a teacher for 33 years and worked in Catholic Secondary Schools for 15 of those years. I taught mainly RS to A level but have also taught Geography, History and Law. I was also heavily involved in teacher training/mentoring for over 20 years. I was appointed a Foundation Governor in June 2021. I am a long-standing member of St John’s Parish and I help with the Confirmation programme. I am married to Paul; we have one son who attended St John’s Primary school and St Wilfrid’s Secondary School.

Ciaran Little

I was appointed as a parent governor in spring 2021. I have a daughter in year 5, my wife Caroline currently teaches year 2 and my two sons have now completed their time at St Roberts and moved on to Tanbridge. I have been a governor for two years and enjoy applying my 20 years of professional experience to the academic and personal development of the children of St Roberts.

Marie Quinlivan

I was appointed as a Foundation Governor in March 2022. Myself and my husband, Anthony, are longstanding members of St John the Evangelist parish and help out with music ministry. We have 3 daughters all who attended St Robert Southwell and St Wilfrid’s schools. I have been a registered nurse for more than 30 years and have had a varied career including working in private schools.

Imogen Lock

My name is Imogen Lock and I was appointed as the Local Authority Governor in summer 2022 and in November 2022, I became a Foundation Governor. I have been a Secondary School RE teacher since 2012 and have a great interest in Catholic Education within the diocese and the wider community. I attend the Diocesan pilgrimage to Lourdes each year where I met my husband. I love to sing, play piano and be out in nature.

Lisa Cousins

My name is Lisa Cousins and I was appointed as Staff Governor in Spring 2023. I am married and the Deputy Headteacher of the school. I have taught at St Robert Southwell since September 2014 having attended myself as a child. I am the current Year 1 teacher. I am a member of the Baptism preparation ministry within the parish.

Andrew Hudspith

I was appointed as a Foundation Governor in January 2024 and aswell as being a parishioner at St John the Evangelist, two of my three children currently attend St Roberts. I am a Chartered Civil Engineer and work currently as a Project Director for a national construction company. The educational development and spiritual wellbeing of my children and those of the school are paramount to me and I believe that I can use my skills and experience to contribute positively and support the continued growth of the school. In my spare time, my interests lie in watching rugby, undertaking various DIY projects and taking immense pleasure out of supporting my children with their interests. 

Janine Terry

I was recently appointed a foundation governor at St Roberts. My children both attended this school and I think of those times very fondly. I have supported in school in the past and particularly liked reading with the children and helping out in the library. I look forward to being able to contribute to maintaining the schools reputation as a religious, caring and progressive school of excellence.
