Galilee Homework Friday 7th February 2020
We have been working on our writing in Galilee and one of our main targets is to be able to write at least 5 sentences independently. We have been focussing on capital letters, full stops and correct letter formation. Home work this week is to write 5 sentences about a lion. I have glued the relevant picture into homework books or given a paper copy to those who did not have their book. I have also sent home information about the type of writing the children can do. In class we call it 'free writing' and the children can choose what to write about. It could be a story, a recount, a letter or facts.
Tuesday 17th March 2020
Due to families self isolating we are in the process of preparing homework packs. These will be sent out via this website as soon as Mrs Hargrave gives the say so. In the meantime those of you who are at home you could research facts about Brazil as this is the country we are learning about in class. We have been making carnival headdresses and have been learning the samba dance. Later on in the week we will be writing instructions on how to make the headdress. In Maths we have been learning to tell the time. We have been focussing on o'clock, half past, quarter past, quarter to and time to the nearest five minutes. In RE we have been learning about Maundy Thursday and why we celebrate Mother's Day.
